HI!
Coming from a family of artists, art has always been in my blood. Ever since I could hold a crayon, I have always created, whether it was painting on sneakers, making beaded necklaces or bracelets, or drawing comic book characters for my friends. This passion led me to study visual communications, graduating with a BFA in Graphics. I worked in this field for a few years until I decided to shift my career and teach art in our public schools. I enjoyed teaching middle school art for 9 years and learned so much more about art and design, and how to not only create, but also teach others those same skills.
My curiosity in all aspects of art helped me affirm that I need to be creating at all times. I eventually took the leap to leave teaching to work full time for myself and live the dream of being a self-reliant artist. My family is a high motivator for me to do the best I can in everything I do. I want to be a great example to my children by using the gifts that God gave me for God’s glory and will to the maximum capacity.
I am so excited to continuously grow and learn in this field. There is no limit to learning and trying new things and that’s what excites me about joining a team of other artists who will build each other up. I strongly believe that there is strength in numbers and we all work better together in “community versus competition.”
